The Role
To assist the Facilities Manager in the maintenance of buildings and grounds owned or leased by Save the Family. Your responsibilities include contributing to the delivery of a well-run facilities team, delivering day to day repairs to our properties, overseeing contractors on site. carrying out regular checks, maintenance, and scrutiny of all locations at our site. Health and Safety checks will form a regular aspect of the weekly programme as will the need to prioritise your workload and ensure that work is progressed when the Facilities Manager is not on site.
By being part of our facilities Team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality services ensuring that we are providing excellent standards of health and safety and site management services.
Aspects of the role will include:
Carry out maintenance work both internal and external to the buildings (including decoration), as and when required
Carry out programmed health and safety tasks and maintain records demonstrating compliance with set down procedures.
Adhere to all Save the Family risk assessments for all maintenance tasks.
Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with Save the Family's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Maintain and develop the site to a high standard including maintenance of external areas and play areas.
Keep the grounds free of weeds, fallen leaves and litter; carry out repairs as necessary.
Keep the fencing and gates in a safe and presentable condition.
Establish schedules of equipment maintenance and carry out work where appropriate.
Drive all Save the Family vehicles including minibuses, vans, cars, and lawn mowers as required.
