Eden House is looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join the team part-time/ 15 part hour role.



Eden House is the first service in our brand new Division of Residential Addictions. Branded under "Flourish", Eden House will be the first Priory therapy-led residential programme for people seeking meaningful, sustainable recovery from addiction and related behaviours.

What you'll be doing





You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our service users. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, plumbing, and electrical work to ensure the proper functioning and safety of buildings and facilities. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and building systems, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance supervisor for prompt resolution. Help maintain and organize maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring they are clean, safe, and readily accessible. Support the maintenance team in responding to urgent repair requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner. Follow health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and hazardous materials.

Candidates for the Maintenance Assistant position should have some prior experience in general maintenance or a related trade, with a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks preferred. The role requires good problem-solving skills, physical fitness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a strong commitment to health and safety standards are essential. Basic knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and safety procedures is expected, along with good communication skills.
