Position: Maintenance Assistant

Location: Corran Esplanade, Oban PA34 5PZ

Full-time, Fixed term contract

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation and appearance of the hotel facilities. The individual in this role will work closely with the maintenance team and other hotel staff to address maintenance issues promptly and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests.

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of equipment and systems. Complete repairs on furniture, fixtures, plumbing, and electrical systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues reported by hotel staff or guests. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to resolve complex problems. Repair and maintain doors, windows, and locks. Patch and paint walls as needed. Repair or replace broken equipment, furniture, or appliances. Assist with outdoor maintenance Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the maintenance supervisor.
