Job Description

The Craftspersons primary task and responsibility is to undertake the day to day maintenance, servicing, repair and installation work on the full range of infrastructure, equipment and estate assets across all areas of their main designated trade and / or profession. Secondary to this is the responsibility to not only be qualified in a secondary trade, but, additionally, be able to undertake maintenance, servicing, and installation work across areas of this secondary trade in line with their skill and qualification level. The nature of the role will require interaction and work on all types of system, from drainage and sewage systems through to steam engineering, power generation or control systems. The Craftsperson should be prepared to undertake all manner of tasks on all manner of systems.

Responsibility exists to ensure that maintenance records, databases (such as the Computer Aided Facilities Management Suite) and spreadsheets are kept up to date with relevant information submitted on these platforms and existing data reviewed on a continual basis to ensure validity of records being maintained.
