Job Title: Maintenance Electrician



Role responsibilities:



Perform inspections and maintenance of existing renewable energy systems. Undertake fault finding in a methodical manner, reviewing data, recording findings, completing site reports and proactively finding solutions. Test and troubleshoot electrical systems, replacing worn parts and faulty wiring. Examine drawings, plans, and wiring diagrams of renewable energy systems to determine the method and sequence of operations Install renewable energy systems, electrical plant, components and fixtures such as photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and other related equipment Setting standards of health and safety and acceptable behaviour on site. Ensure our maintenance work is as efficient and productive as possible. Guiding and training colleagues to share expertise. Provide technical support and guidance to customers and colleagues. Ensure that all installations comply with regulatory compliance, industry standards, safety regulations and in accordance with Company procedures. Installation of batteries, charge controllers, and other peripheral components for renewable energy systems Train and mentor other members of staff on site to carry out work safely.

Essential criteria:



UK Qualified electrician BS7671 17th Edition qualified minimum At least 2 years' post qualification with relevant system experience Excellent communication and English literacy verbally and interpreting written product information and Company procedures AM2 Assessment of Occupational Competence Highly effective organisational skills and attention to detail Computer Literacy to use Company systems via mobile app Ability to work at heights and inside roof spaces ECS Health and Safety Assessment certified Full clean driving licence Helpful, polite, and honest at all times

Desirable criteria:



Approved electrician status (see https://www.jib.org.uk/) Pass 18th Edition - 2382 22 exam Experience maintaining and installing solar PV, car chargers & batteries Experience using MS Teams, Outlook and Word Experience in product communications and set-up Level 3 award in the installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems Certified Site Manager Safety Training Scheme or Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme Working at heights and asbestos awareness training City and Guilds 2391 - Test and Inspect

Working hours

: 40 per week, between 7am and 5.30pm Mondays to Fridays but with flexibility required to fit in with site and installation requirements, plus occasional working away for more distant sites. Rota for out of hours cover.

Working Location:

This is a site-based role, based from our Head Quarters in Pinhoe, Exeter, England, and travelling to sites daily, predominantly throughout the South West UK.
