We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and provide excellent customer service to our internal customers.
This role is a rotational 4 on 4 off shift pattern alternating between days and nights and includes weekend working. This shift pattern is 6am - 6pm (Day Shift) 6pm - 6am (Night Shift).
Responsibilities
First response to machinery breakdowns, all tooling/bottle/liquid changeovers and any other issues associated with the production lines
Will be in attendance to any of the above requirement in the first instance to perform the duties required, any further issues or problems would then be allocated back to Engineering Shift Team Leader
To Undertake any tasks as allocated by the Engineering Shift Team Leader including PPM's
Tasks will be issued daily and weekly
Support and undertake future projects and developments within the Engineering Team
This will entail working on new and current projects, processes and equipment to assist the company's growth in new sales
Identify and report any issues on equipment and machinery to the Engineering Shift Team Leader
This is to work on a TPM and to identify potential issues on machines proactively to ensure output and performance is maintained, any issues resolved quickly should still be reported to the Engineering Shift Team Leader
Support other teams during periods of planned and unplanned absence
This will require flexibility and potential shift changes to support other teams as required
Assess machinery and equipment against standards
You will be required to monitor the performance of machinery
Undertake Site Maintenance tasks and repairs
Daily machinery and workshop clean downs
Any other maintenance tasks as required by the Engineering Team Leader
Skills
Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for clear communication.
Familiarity with logic controllers is essential for troubleshooting purposes.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Mechanical knowledge is crucial for understanding complex machinery operations.
Welding skills are advantageous for performing repairs on various equipment.
