We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer ( electrical bias ) to join our small but dynamic engineering team. As a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our factory machinery and equipment. Your expertise working alongside our team will help maintain equipment reliability and safety standards whilst minimising downtime. The role involves performing routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in factory maintenance particularly in the food manufacturing sector . Key Responsibilities :
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with engineering team to improve maintenance processes, procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer ( Elec Bias ) or similar role, within a factory setting, preferably food manufacturing.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and machinery.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically under pressure and critical attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
Good communication skills to enable effective cross functional collaboration across our production and QA Teams and Directors.
Relevant electrical engineering qualifications or certifications
