Our Client is a leading plastics Manufacturer based in West Yorkshire and they are currently looking to add to their team due to ongoing growth and expansion.
Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of electrical systems and equipment within client sites. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical systems, including lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, and control panels.
Fault find and diagnose issues across electrical and mechanical systems.
Perform electrical installations and modifications in compliance with the latest IET Wiring Regulations.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to support multi-skilled maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on system performance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Participate in on-call rota and out-of-hours support as required.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
17th or 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial or industrial setting.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
Familiarity with PLCs and variable speed drives.
Previous experience in a facilities management environment.
