Maintenance Engineer

We're hiring a

Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer

to join our experienced engineering team at our seafood processing factory, based in Barnstaple. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in keeping our food processing machinery and facilities running smoothly and efficiently.

Salary:

35-38k

;

Full Time Monday - Friday 7am-5pm; Rotational Weekend Cover and On-Call Cover.

Responsibilities:

Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on production and packaging equipment Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime Assist with preventative maintenance schedules Work with the production team to ensure machines operate at peak performance Contribute to improvement projects and equipment upgrades Keep accurate records and follow health & safety protocols

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally in FMCG or food manufacturing Strong mechanical skills (hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes) Engineering qualifications Basic electrical knowledge (advantageous but not essential) A proactive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on your own initiative Willingness to work shifts (if required)
