How will you make an impact?

As the Maintenance & Facilities Manager you shall ensure the smooth running of company buildings, equipment and utilities. You must work closely with all members of the organisation at all levels to develop, implement and monitor strategies, policies and procedures to minimise operational downtime. You will have overall responsibility for subcontractors on site and ensure RAMS are adhered to at all times.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Establish Maintenance strategies to achieve the overall plant reliability and availability in line with the company goals, KPI's and budgetary objectives. Own and develop the PPM system Pirana Shire ensuring checks and repairs are carried out on time and effectively by the maintenance team or subcontractors. Day-to-day coordination and direction of the sites Maintenance Team and external contractors, in order to complete maintenance in an efficient and effective manner. Management of routine and reactive maintenance tasks as required and / or assigned for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functionality of company buildings, equipment and utilities. Coordination and Management of all site maintenance records (maintenance planners, service sheets, technical specifications, test certification and statutory records). Ensuring contractors that undertake work on site carry out the work to company standards and it complies both contractual commitment and site operating procedures. Introduce safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant health, safety and environmental hazards or impacts in your area. Carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical plant issues suggesting engineering solutions for major downtime incidents. Conduct equipment life span, obsolescence studies and develop appropriate upgrade / replacement strategies. Set and monitor objectives for the team to ensure all KPI's are met through an effective SQDCP board. Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets. To carry out other instructions and reasonable requests when asked to do so by management. Produce and deliver tool box talks. Continually promote a safe working environment

Experience, Knowledge and Education:

Degree of NVQ Level 4 in a relevant Engineering discipline or served a full engineering apprenticeship. IOSH Qualification or relevant qualifications Significant engineering experience including a management role, managing people. Strong leader with demonstrable experience in delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in the development and implementation of a best practice Maintenance and Reliability strategy. Strong culture of Health and Safety and will have led various safety initiatives throughout your career. Results driven individual, you will be relentless in your approach for excellence and will have strong influencing skills to ensure others are fully engaged in your approach. You will possess excellent reporting skills and will communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
