Job Summary

Mechanical Fitter details

Key Tasks:

Reactive, planned and pro-active maintenance on a wide range of process plant and equipment, to include Friction & Mechanical Power Presses, Furnaces, CNC Machines, Shotblast Machines, Pumping systems and Laser Machines.

Fault finding, diagnostics and repair, on the above.

Equipment installation

Update CMM system

Defining spare parts

Shift pattern of rotating Days & Afternoons very occasional Nights and the flexibility to change shift hours to suit demands. Overtime when available.

Skills/Experience:

Time Served Mechanical Engineer (C&G, NVQ, HNC)

Min of 5 years post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience of Fitting, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Fabrication & Welding, some electrical knowledge would be an advantage.

Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work from engineering drawings.

Continuous improvement mindset.

Team player and ability to work unsupervised.

Hard working, good communication skills and conscientious.

Health & Safety conscious IOSH working safely (Desired but not essential)

IPAF (Desired but not essential)

Confined space - high risk (Desired but not essential)

Abrasive wheels (Desired but not essential)

FLT License (Desired but not essential)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
