Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man/ Woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, enabling them to perform various maintenance and repair tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong emphasis on customer service, as you will be interacting with clients to ensure their needs are met. The Handy Man will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and appearance of facilities, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

Duties

Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings and facilities. Address customer service requests promptly and professionally. Supervise and coordinate with other tradespeople when necessary. Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Conduct electrical repairs and installations as required. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings. Work with logic controllers for automated systems. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff. Conduct weekly fire drills

Requirements

Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Proficient mechanical knowledge, including electrical systems. Ability to read schematics and understand technical documentation. Experience with welding techniques is an advantage. Leadership qualities to supervise projects and team members effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
