Your Role at MRN

As a

Maintenance Handyman/Woman

, you will be responsible for ensuring our nurseries are

safe, functional, and well-maintained

, creating a comfortable environment for both staff and children. Your key responsibilities will include:

Perform

general maintenance and minor repairs

on plumbing, electrical fixtures, doors, windows, and furniture. Conduct

routine safety inspections

to ensure the nursery environment is safe and compliant with regulations.

Respond to urgent maintenance requests

to prevent disruption to nursery operations. Handle

basic carpentry, painting, and decorating

to keep the nursery in excellent condition. Assist with the

installation and assembly of furniture, fixtures, and equipment

as needed.

Fitting kitchen units

and supporting the setup or refurbishment of nursery kitchen areas. Maintain

tools, equipment, and work areas

in a clean and organized manner. Liaise with

contractors and external service providers

for specialized repairs when necessary.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience

in a trade or a similar maintenance/handyman position

Flexible availability

, including evenings and weekends

A full, clean driving license

is highly preferred

Professionalism

and attention to detail, with an understanding of

child protection and Health & Safety regulations

Employment is subject to

two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check

. Candidates who have lived or worked overseas will need to provide an

overseas criminal record check
