Job Description

Westpoint Homes has been building high quality homes throughout central Scotland for over 35 years, and we currently have an exciting career opportunity for a time-served Maintenance Joiner, working with our Customer Care team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of joinery works across our developments, and will possess relevant experience and/or an appropriate joinery qualification. A full UK driving licence is an essential requirement of the role, and should accompany experience and a licence in the operation of lifting machinery (categories 1b, 3a & 3b). The candidate will also be presentable, punctual and reliable, able to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities, and have good communication and time management skills.

The main duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

Advanced level joinery, incorporating remedials to windows; doors (including lock repairs and replacements); floorcoverings; kitchens; bathrooms; garden slabs; pointing; mastic and silicone; tiling and grout to floors and walls; roofs (including tile replacement and flat roof repairs); guttering and downpipes Uplift and transport of materials Communication - to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and Customer Care colleagues on the completion of scheduled assignments and required follow-up Inspection - use problem solving skills when inspecting joinery works to ensure the most appropriate, long-term solution Assisting other tradespeople on site as required
Salary: In the region of 38,000 per annum, dependent on experience
