Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures on-site and in workshop settings. This role requires a strong understanding of joinery techniques, the use of hand and power tools, and the ability to work efficiently within a team to deliver high-quality craftsmanship. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or construction painting to utilise and expand their skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties



Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment. Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, cabinets, and frameworks on construction sites or in workshops. Assist with roofing tasks including truss installation and related carpentry work. Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely to ensure smooth workflow. Conduct maintenance tasks such as construction painting, plumbing installations, masonry work, or electrical fittings as required. Read technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise fabrication and installation. Collaborate with other tradespeople including masons, electricians, plumbers, and roofers to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety standards at all times.

Requirements



Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery is essential. Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders). Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems or electrical installations is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during construction activities. Experience working with construction materials such as timber, composites, bricks or concrete. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in reading technical drawings and specifications. Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if necessary. Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay: 15.01-24.62 per hour
