Introduction

If you are a skilled tradesperson or \'handy man\' with knowledge of Health & Safety standards and experience of managing a team and external contractors to ensure a safe and functioning environment, then join the team at Castleholme Lodge in Huddersfield as a Maintenance Lead.

As a valued member of the team, and with a team of your own, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks and liaise with contractors and be responsible for ensuring the service\'s facilities are fit for purpose. This includes conducting regular audits.

You will be working 37.5 hour per week, with some on-call duties required.

Your Responsibilities:

• Organise and implement a planned preventative maintenance schedule to optimise standards and performance of hospital plant, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Participate in all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings structure and fittings.
• Ensure adequate records of the planned maintenance and test results, e.g. Equipment logs, service certification, fire alarm logs.
• Maintain safe working practices when operating hand, power and workshop tools.
• To ensure that all electrical equipment is tested (PAT) in line with legislation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience within a similar role
• General building trade experience
• Ability to paint and decorate.
• Basic numeracy and literacy
