Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Person to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities and equipment at the Chatsworth, New Loretta and Baytree Hotels. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: repairing machinery, equipment, or systems; troubleshooting issues; and conducting preventive maintenance
- Inspect and maintain electrical systems, including wiring and switches
- Conduct repairs on plumbing systems, such as fixing leaks or replacing pipes
- Perform general carpentry work, including building or repairing structures, furniture, or fixtures
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Conducting periodic health and safety and fire safety inspections to ensure legal compliance

- Grounds work and litter picking to the external area of the hotels.

Requirements:
- Proficient in English (both written and verbal)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide others effectively
- Mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal staff or external vendors/contractors
