Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the successful candidate will take full responsibility and accountability for managing maintenance and associated functions. The scope covers routine machine maintenance, production machine development and includes a significant element of project work, some of a general site nature. You will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical and robotic equipment. The role includes people management and budgetary/cost reporting and working in conjunction with the Senior Operations Manager on site wide improvements.

The successful candidate will hold the following:


A minimum of 5 years previous experience of managing/supervising a maintenance team, working within a high volume FMCG/manufacturing environment Time served Maintenance experience to include project management and supervisory experience A demonstrated ability to inspire and engage teams and drive change A Strong Knowledge of Health and Safety in requirements in a factory environment. A proven track record of engaging people and developing effective teams A strong business understanding including running effective budgets, CAPEX etc Strong analytical and decision making skills A strong focus and drive with a "can do" attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills A flexible approach
Although not essential, it will be preferential for candidates to hold the following:


An understanding of writing risk assessments A Project Management qualification 2:1 Hons Engineering degree Nebosh Diploma
