About the Role:

As the Maintenance Manager at Clacton Pier, you will lead a skilled team responsible for the upkeep of our rides, buildings, and general infrastructure. Your role is vital in ensuring that all facilities are safe, functional, and visually appealing. Safety is our top priority, and you will be instrumental in upholding our high standards.

Your Responsibilities:

Supervision and Management

: Lead and supervise the maintenance team, being actively involved in day-to-day activities, ensuring all are conducted safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role that will include regular time spent on the tools split around 70/30 practical/office based.

Inspection and Maintenance:

Oversee regular inspections and maintenance of rides, buildings, and other infrastructure to ensure they meet safety standards and operate smoothly.

Team Development:

Implement strategies for managing a diverse team, focusing on staff development and maintaining high morale. Working closely as part of the team and leading by example.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations across the pier.

Engineering Principles:

Apply engineering principles to guide maintenance practices, particularly concerning mechanical systems akin to those in vehicles or heavy machinery or electronics and electrical engineering.

Requirements:

Experience:

Proven experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in a vehicle, heavy plant, electronics, electrical engineering or similar environment.

Leadership:

Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading a technical team.

Engineering Knowledge:

Practical understanding of mechanical engineering concepts.

Problem-Solving:

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Communication:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective with both technical and non-technical teams.
