Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, while also managing a team of maintenance professionals.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Develop and implement maintenance strategies, including preventive and corrective maintenance plans. Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, and repairs, ensuring timely completion within budget. Utilise knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Read and interpret schematics to facilitate repairs and installations of machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and compliance documentation. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the maintenance department. Collaborate with other departments to identify maintenance needs and prioritise tasks accordingly.

Requirements



Proven experience in a management role within a maintenance environment. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of electrical systems. Previous supervising experience is essential for leading a diverse team effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across departments. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
