Hours: 35-40 per week

Key Purpose of Role:

An opportunity has arisen for the role of Maintenance Officer in the student village at Ulster University, Jordanstown. The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for carrying out both planned and response works required to repair, maintain and improve the residential accommodation and facilities whilst ensuring an excellent customer experience at all times. Supporting record keeping, audits/inspections, and maintaining stock levels. The successful candidate will be required to attend occasional out of hours emergencies on site.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Demonstrable ability within building maintenance e.g. patch repair plastering, painting, fitting shelves etc. At least 1 year relevant maintenance experience Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices

Desirable Skills & Experience:

NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject such as joinery or building A relevant health and safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH IPAF certificate Understanding of principles of electrical safety Understanding of water systems including domestic plumbing and legionella
