Job Description

We're looking for a caring and organised individual to join our friendly Facilities team as a Maintenance Person.


About the role


Friendly and approachable, you'll have previous experience working in a maintenance role with an understanding of building, fire, legionella, electrical testing and regulations. You understand the importance of maintaining high standards and working with health and safety compliance - you'll ensure the hospice environment is maintained to a high standard, and all areas of compliance are achieved.


About the person


You'll be based at the hospice in Brentry (BS10) and support our portfolio of shops across Bristol and the surrounding areas. Nothing is too much trouble and you're always happy to help the wider team. You'll work in partnership with volunteers and other staff members to ensure routine and operational maintenance tasks are completed.

What we can offer you:

Salary of 19,364 - 20,383 per annum (full time equivalent would be 24,205 - 25,479 per annum), dependent on experience

Part time, 30 hours per week worked over 4 days (Tuesday - Friday)

No unsociable shifts

St Peter's Hospice is a well-loved hospice that provides extensive inpatient and community services, in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Every year St Peter's Hospice makes a difference in the lives of thousands of patients and their families when it matters most.


Many of our staff work directly with patients and their families in nursing, health care and medical jobs. Others raise money to support patient care through our chain of over 40 charity shops and our fundraising activities. We also have a significant number of staff working in varied office-based roles.

Our Inpatient Unit is a state-of-the-art centre of clinical excellence, that was built with the generous support of the people of Bristol. The Hospice is also a centre of educational excellence and we teach other healthcare professionals about how to care for people at the end of their lives, supporting the NHS and care homes provide end of life care.
