You'll play a key part in ensuring our homes are safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for our residents, staff, and visitors.
This is a hands-on role that involves general repairs, routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across both sites.
Main Responsibilities
Carry out general repairs and maintenance (plumbing, joinery, decorating, etc.)
Perform regular safety checks and record-keeping in line with regulations
Maintain gardens, grounds, and outdoor areas to a high standard
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management
Liaise with external contractors when specialist repairs are required
Ensure compliance with health & safety and infection control policies
Support the care home teams with ad hoc maintenance tasks as needed
About You
We're looking for someone with:
Proven experience in a maintenance, caretaker, or facilities role
Basic skills in plumbing, joinery, painting, and general repairs
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities
Good communication and organisational skills
A full UK driving licence (essential, as you'll work across two sites)
An understanding of health and safety practices
Experience within a care home or healthcare setting would be an advantage, but not essential -- training will be provided.
