Ashton Recruitment require several Maintenance Operatives for our client based in Belfast.
Position: Maintenance Operative
Location: Belfast
Duration: Permanent
Pay Rate: Starting from 326,700
With nearly 60 years of industry experience, the client combines deep market knowledge with continual investment in premium advertising sites, digital technology, and advanced planning tools. Their network includes bus shelters, street furniture, billboards, and digital panels in high-footfall locations such as shopping centres and key urban areas.
The client currently has a vacancy for a Maintenance Operative to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the upkeep and presentation of outdoor advertising assets across the network. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and adapt to the evolving demands of a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Perform maintenance on bus shelters, digital panels, advertising units, and billboards
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently
  • Always Follow all Health & Safety procedures
  • Complete all tasks to the required standards and specifications
  • Maintain the clients advertising assets in line with individual job requirements
  • Interpret and follow job lists and addresses to carry out maintenance duties effectively
  • Load and prepare the maintenance vehicle appropriately to support a safe and productive workday
  • Safely return and correctly store any stock or equipment at the depot
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly serviced, maintained, and securely stored in the vehicle, ready for daily use
  • Accurately complete all required documentation and submit it within the designated timeframes
  • Maintain the company vehicle, including regular washing, conducting vehicle checks, and reporting any issues
Essential Criteria:
  • At least 1 years relevant working experience
  • Ability to prioritise work daily and liaise with other members within the operations team
  • Good communication skills contact with members of the public, utility companies & business partners
  • Reasonably IT literate
  • Report any incidents immediately and accurately
Key Competencies:
  • Enthusiastic & proactive individual
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Work independently under own initiative whilst having experience of working with others
  • Clean Driving License & strong geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to successfully organise, prioritise & manage workload
  • Comfortable working under pressure
  • Attention to detail essential
  • Able to understand the job specifications & processes involved in this role
  • Undergo training programmes & update when required
