Glencorse Care Home is a purpose-built, luxury service set to open soon in the heart of the new Greenlaw Mains community. With 54 beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, the home will provide exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care in a calm, welcoming environment.
We are now seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Operative to help us prepare the home for opening and keep it running smoothly every day thereafter. This is a rare opportunity to join from the commissioning stage and take pride in shaping a safe, high-quality environment from the very beginning.

What You Will Do
As Maintenance Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the home's building and grounds are always well maintained, safe, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors. From general repairs to safety checks and upkeep of external areas, your proactive approach will ensure high standards from day one.
You will carry out regular inspections, respond to repair requests, maintain essential equipment, support minor installations, and work closely with the Home Manager to ensure all statutory and internal health and safety standards are met. As part of the opening team, you will also contribute to getting the home fully ready for residents' arrival and help implement efficient systems for long-term upkeep.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar role
Good understanding of basic electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs
A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance
Friendly and professional attitude, able to interact well with colleagues and residents
Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours maintenance or emergency callouts
