Job Summary



We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Plumber and Heating Engineer to join our dedicated team to carry out plumbing and heating repairs, maintenance and installations for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out a high standard, in accordance with relevant regulations and safety procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities



Key Responsibilities:



- Respond promptly and efficiently to reactive plumbing and heating faults and emergency calls.

- Diagnose and repair issues with boilers, heating systems, pipework, fixtures, and appliances.

- Carryout routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on heating and plumbing systems to prevent breakdowns.

- Install, modify, and replace plumbing and heating components in accordance with regulations.

- Ensure all work complies with current Scottish plumbing and heating standards, regulations, and safety protocols

- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent

- Communicate effectively with clients, team members to ensure a high level of service delivery

- Keep tools and equipment in good condition and report any maintenance needs

- Flexibility to participate in on-call rota and emergency response work

Qualifications & Experience



Education:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent qualification

Certification:

Gas Safe registration with valid certifications

Experience:



o A minimum of 2 years' experience as a plumber/heating engineer in a maintenance or construction environment

o Proven experience working in reactive maintenance, plumbing and heating systems

Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of boiler systems, central heating, and associated controls

Skills:



o Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.

o Be able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively and to be able to complete tasks to a high standard.

Technology



o Be comfortable with smartphones/tablets for accessing work schedules and communication tools.

o Familiarity with power tools and machinery and their safety features

Pay: From 20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week
