Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our maintenance team, on a self employed status - for full time, continuous work. This role does come with a company van for business use only. We have immediate start for the right candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in plumbing systems, ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires proficiency with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions to ensure optimal functionality. Utilise hand tools and power tools to perform plumbing tasks efficiently. Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water supply, drainage, heating, and sanitation systems. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues before they escalate. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters when necessary for integrated project completion. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment on-site. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems. Familiarity with basic maths for measuring and calculating material requirements accurately. Experience operating commercial vehicles is advantageous for transporting tools and materials. Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing tasks is required. Additional skills such as welding or carpentry are considered an asset but not mandatory.
