What this job involves:



As an Maintenance Supervisor at JLL, you will supervise a team in delivering exceptional engineering solutions to our manufacturing cluster on our clients Rolls-Royce facilities in Derby. You'll oversee preventative maintenance programmes, equipment operations, and building systems while ensuring compliance with UK safety standards and regulations. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way -- for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees. This role requires leadership abilities to supervise engineering staff, coordinate with contractors, and implement strategic improvements that optimise building performance. You'll collaborate across departments to deliver technical expertise that helps our clients achieve their operational goals while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.



What your day-to-day will look like:



Supervise and mentor maintenance staff, conducting performance reviews and fostering professional development

Manage preventive maintenance programmes and equipment operations to ensure optimal building system performance

Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs, installations, and service agreements in accordance with UK procurement practices

Implement energy conservation measures and sustainable practices to improve building efficiency and meet UK carbon reduction targets

Ensure compliance with UK safety regulations, building regulations, and environmental requirements including HSE guidelines

Develop and maintain accurate documentation for building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures

Collaborate with property management teams to address client needs and respond to emergency situations



Required Qualifications:



Experience in building engineering or facilities management in the UK

Supervisory experience managing maintenance or engineering teams

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within UK buildings

Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to build collaborative teams

Proficiency with building management systems and relevant software applications
