Job Description

AMG Chrome is looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Shift Supervisor to lead our team of mechanical & electrical engineers and keep our plant running safely, reliably and efficiently.

In this supervisory, "hands-on" position, you'll organise and lead the shift maintenance team, ensuring breakdowns are resolved quickly and preventative maintenance is completed on time. You will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving plant performance, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Salary Details: 59,781.00 annually, including rota premium

Rota Pattern: 4 on (DDNN) 4 off

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, schedule and organise a multi-skilled maintenance team.

Lead reactive and preventative maintenance activities across the plant.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and support repairs.

Ensure safe working practices, risk assessments and permit-to-work procedures.

Manage maintenance requests and coordinate with production.

Order materials, manage spares and arrange off-site repairs.

Attend shift handovers and daily production meetings.

rain, coach and develop team members.

Maintain accurate records using the CMMS (Mainsaver).

Support improvement projects and identify opportunities for investment.

What we're looking for

BTEC HND/C in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 5 years' experience in medium-heavy manufacturing.

Strong multi-skilled background (electrical & mechanical).

Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC systems.

High voltage experience desirable.

IOSH qualification.

Strong fault-finding, organisational and decision-making skills.

Confident leader with a proactive, "can-do" approach.

IT literate (Word, Excel, CMMS, CAD).
