to lead our maintenance team in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery, electrical systems, and chemical processes. You'll manage both preventive and corrective maintenance programs, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team
Manage task allocation, scheduling, and performance tracking
Maintain accurate records of attendance, training, and reporting
2. Maintenance Operations
Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime
Respond swiftly to equipment failures and coordinate repairs
Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruption
3. Equipment & Systems Management
Ensure all equipment meets operational and safety standards
Monitor KPIs for performance, downtime, and cost
Optimise use of CMMS for data tracking and reporting
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance
Conduct audits and risk assessments
Maintain documentation of inspections and corrective actions
5. Budget & Resource Management
Manage maintenance budgets and procurement
Monitor inventory and coordinate timely replenishment
6. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost savings
Lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
7. Project Management
Plan and execute minor projects and CAPEX initiatives
Oversee contractor activities and ensure compliance
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
3-5 years in a supervisory maintenance role within manufacturing
Experience in adhesives or chemical manufacturing is a plus
Proven ability to develop maintenance strategies and manage timelines
Key Skills:
Strong leadership and team management
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and process equipment maintenance
Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations
Effective communication across all levels
