Maintenance Team Manager (mechanical)

Job Description

Heavy manufacturing company based in Birmingham (B7) are seeking a Maintenance Team Manager mechanically biased to join our established team of engineers and technicians, working on a day shift (Mon - Fri) in a continuous 24/7 process plant.

The Role:

To lead the engineers to become high performing, delivering exceptional performance in line with the company vision & values. This will be achieved through a process of involvement, performance management and direct personal influence resulting in outstanding results through your team.

Relentlessly improve the processes, equipment and current working practices in order to provide consistent and effective maintenance programmes ensuring maximum production uptime, delivered in a safe and professional manner.

The Candidate

Have completed a HNC preferably mechanical

Mechanical experience gained within a process manufacturing industry.

Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking to improve manufacturing reliability

Ability to demonstrate in depth mechanical engineering knolwedge appropriate to the Mill

To use own initiative to highlight potential issues and offer solutions.

Have a strong commitment to Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety

standards is essential.

Annual holiday of 33 days consisting of 25 days annual leave, 8 statutory days.

Company Sick Pay is payable following 12 months service.

Working Hours:

08:00-16:30 with 30 minute break: 40 hours working week

Call out and cover rota every 7 weeks.
