Heavy manufacturing company based in Birmingham (B7) are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our established team of engineers and technicians, working on a day shift (Mon - Fri) in a continuous 24/7 process plant.
The Role:
The role of the Maintenance Team Manager is to lead the engineers to become high performing, delivering exceptional performance in line with the company vision & values. This will be achieved through a process of involvement, performance management and direct personal influence resulting in outstanding results through your team.
Relentlessly improve the processes, equipment and current working practices in order to provide consistent and effective maintenance programmes ensuring maximum production uptime, delivered in a safe and professional manner.
The Candidate
HNC/HND minimum engineering qualification
Mechanical Engineering experience in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking to improve manufacturing reliability.
Ability to demonstrate in depth mechanical engineering knowledge appropriate to the mill
To be able to work as part of a team bringing with them a proactive and positive
attitude.
To use own initiative to highlight potential issues and offer solutions.
Have a strong commitment to Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety
standards is essential.

Working Hours:
08:00-16:30 with 30 minute unpaid break: 40 hours working week
Call out and cover rota every 7 weeks.
