Key Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will provide support to the Maintenance Manager and Team in the maintenance of CIL's equipment and plant on both our sites; performing typical maintenance tasks to support the assembly process on all sites.
With strong, effective communication skills, you will be friendly and approachable, ideally with a passion for machinery.
Whilst experience in maintenance support is ideal, we are keen to consider applicants who are newly-qualified within the maintenance, or, other relevant industry and looking to make a start within a junior maintenance position.
A maintenance person must be able to work with their hands as well as their eyes. They must have great physical strength to tackle tasks of great size and strength. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and possess great patience. The goal is to complete all tasks in time and perfect care of the facilities.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
Performing routine cleaning and sanitising, including specialist cleaning of delicate or high-value machinery
Perform weekly routine and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and plant.
Perform typical maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Engineering Manager to support the assembly process on all three sites
Complete routine equipment and plant safety checks, maintenance, and repair on all three sites
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Maintenance Engineering Manager
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and plant as directed by the Maintenance Engineering Manager
Key Skills and Competencies:
Proven experience as a maintenance/hand person, or recently completed an apprenticeship in maintenance/machinery/electrical or other relevant industry
Practical hands-on skills; ability to demonstrate use of basic tools
Mechanically minded
Able to work in both supervised, as part of a team, and unsupervised environment
Good communication skills
Computer literate
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective time management
Knowledge of how common electrical and mechanical items work and how to repair them is ideal
Cleaning expertise
