MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - DOMESTIC & COMMERCIAL
Planned | Reactive | Emergency Repairs
We are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our growing property maintenance team, supporting both domestic and commercial clients.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is reliable, practical, and able to work independently across a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks.
Main Responsibilities
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on residential and commercial properties
Responding to reactive maintenance issues such as leaks, damage, faults and breakdowns
Attending emergency call-outs (rota basis)
Diagnosing faults and carrying out safe, effective repairs
Completing a variety of general maintenance tasks including:
Plumbing repairs and minor installations
Carpentry works (doors, skirting, locks, cupboards, etc.)
Basic electrical tasks (lighting, sockets, switches - if competent)
Roofing/guttering repairs and roof inspections
Window and glazing repairs
Flooring repairs/replacements
General building and property upkeep

Liaising professionally with customers, tenants and site managers
Completing job reports and updating the office with photos and notes
Maintaining your van, tools, and stock levels in an organised manner
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in a similar maintenance / handyman / facilities / trade role
Multi-skilled with strong knowledge of general property maintenance
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Willingness to take part in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Own basic hand tools (power tools beneficial)
Desirable (but not essential)
Trade qualification(s) in plumbing, carpentry, electrical or building services
18th Edition / Basic electrical qualification
PASMA / IPAF / Working at height experience
Asbestos awareness
First Aid
Experience in facilities maintenance / managing agents contracts
