Job Summary



Join ICTUK at an exciting time as we launch our brand-new Paper Mill in Deeside. We are seeking a proactive and analytical Process Shift Technician to support our production operations from day one. This is a rare opportunity to work on cutting-edge machinery, drive continuous improvement, and help optimise our papermaking processes. As part of the founding team, you'll play a critical role in maximising efficiency, reducing waste, and supporting the success of our new mill through Lean initiatives and problem-solving.

Role Responsibilities



Perform installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, automation, and instrumentation equipment to ensure reliable operation. Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues using schematics, drawings, and diagnostic tools; identify root causes and implement corrective actions promptly. Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop and implement technical solutions. Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing of electrical systems to maintain safety and compliance with relevant regulations. Prepare detailed reports, maintain accurate records, and manage requisitions for supplies and spare parts. Supervise and inspect work performed by external contractors and vendors to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Ensure work areas are clean, organised, and compliant with safety and housekeeping standards. Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding shift activities, issues, and escalations. Follow out-of-hours escalation procedures and participate in on-call engineering rotas to address urgent electrical faults. Actively support and contribute to the site's safety culture by reporting hazards, incidents, and taking immediate corrective actions when needed.

Working Hours:



This role will be a Days based position with a 1 in 5 week call out rota.

Required Knowledge and Skills



Qualified to NVQ L3 or equivalent Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, codes, and compliance requirements. Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues. Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
