Maintaining the Extrusion /Thermoforming/Print machines effectively to the required optimum operating standards to ensure minimal downtime
Respond to machine breakdowns
Diagnose & effectively deal with the problems as they arise
Support the engineering planned maintenance program with the continual improvement process
Prioritise your workload in line with engineering guidelines and business requirements
Liaise effectively with engineering stores to maintain stock levels of parts to ensure key equipment can be continually maintained
Take part in projects as/when required
Your profile
A multiskilled engineer with a good electrical/mechanical background.
Qualified in the latest regulations (completed an apprenticeship or formal City & Guilds qualification)
Able to diagnose issues, understand the root cause and implement corrective action when required.
Have knowledge of PLCs, control panel experience & ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams
You will be able to work on your own initiative and be a problem solver
Excellent communication skills are paramount to be able to understand and communicate effectively with other employees and work effectively within your team & department Team Leaders/ Managers
You should have relevant IT skills, good physical fitness, and good attention to detail
Hours of Work:
Continental 4 on/4off 5:45am to 6pm days, 5:45pm to 6am nightshift, with flexibility to ensure smooth handover between shifts. The salary for this role is 16.74 with a 25% shift allowance.
