We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our equipment and facilities. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital part in maintaining safety standards, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using schematics and technical manuals.
Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs where necessary.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals accurately.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in maintenance roles within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
Mechanical knowledge including welding skills is highly desirable.
Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and PLC programming.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also leading teams when required.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
