Vacancy: Maintenance Technician (Mechanical bias)

Precision Investment Castings Ltd (PIC) is proud to be one of the longest serving manufacturers of investment castings in Europe with over 70 years of expertise. PIC specialise in high integrity castings in both Ferrous and Non-Ferrous materials supplied from a single UK base to a diverse range of sectors; Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Marine, Medical, Oil and Gas & Railways.

We are now looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our busy Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be mechanically biased and will carry out electrical & Mechanical maintenance in order to maintain plant & equipment in our Foundry, fettling shop and heat treatment department as well as our CNC machining facilities.

Key responsibilities:

Execute repair and maintenance activities according to best practice, engineering processes, procedures and safety regulations as directed Assist the team in the implementation of H&S policies and procedures for maintenance and associated activities Perform planned preventative maintenance across the site Assist the team in order to improve equipment performance at the lowest possible cost.

Qualifications & Skills:

HNC / ONC in Mechanical Engineering Time Served Mechanical Apprentice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics preferred but not essential Willing Team player, creative & innovative

Hours:

This role is 37 hours working a 5 day-week and the standard hours are:

Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 16:30 and Fridays - 08:00 - 13:00.

Benefits:

Overtime working if required is paid at premium rates.

Holidays are 25 Days holidays plus 8 bank holidays = 33 days.
