Role Overview:
Working as a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the best support for the operation, reliability, and safety of production equipment, utilities, and facility systems in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and regulatory standards.
You will seek to perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide maintenance support for breakdowns within the department.
Maintain and repair the equipment to validated specification.
Perform Internal calibrations.
Evaluate breakdowns and stoppages and communicate in a timely manner and be the first response to machine breakdown.
Develop and demonstrate key skills pertaining to job role, with set up and changeover of production equipment.
Process knowledge - relating to WI's, SOP's and Manufacturing Records.
Provide technical advice and solutions for equipment issues.
Sanitisation of production equipment to validated procedures.
Continuously develop knowledge and skills to meet business priorities, new product introductions and legislation as communicated by the management team.
Complete and maintain GMP documentation in line with Current Good Manufacturing Practice.
Provide "hands on" Engineering support within the value stream.
Skills & Experience:
1+ years' experience in a similar maintenance role with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background.
Formal Engineering Qualification to NVQ level 2 or equivalent, C&G Technician or equivalent
Experience of working in a FMCG environment, preferably in GMP, Pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.
Good understanding of GMP processes is desirable.
Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Shift Required:
Onsite - 12-hour shifts which are 06:00 to 18:15 and 18:00 to 06:15 - average 40 hours per week
