Summary



As a Hotel Maintenance technician, your role is to ensure excellent maintenance of the buildings, infrastructure and the overall appearance of our hotel. Your role comprises overall maintenance and upkeep of the hotel building's infrastructure and exterior. You should conduct routine maintenance of our entire hotel facility.

Responsibilities



Respond and attend to guest repair requests

Responsible for maintaining, scheduling and recording preventive hotel maintenance plan like turning of mattresses, descaling shower heads, cleaning extractor fans, weekly & monthly fire safety equipment checks etc.

To interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units

To prioritise and organise work assignments

To work under pressure situations and exercise good judgement at all times

To maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information

To ensure security of guest room access and hotel property

Preform maintenance activities in the guest rooms, public and staff areas like painting, repairing walls, plunging toilets, and unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including lamps

Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties

Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment

To clean, protect and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel

To be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency

Perform other duties assigned by the General Manager

Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems

Communicate, order and facilitate any work required to be completed by outside contractors or suppliers

Check for new maintenance requests from maintenance book and online app and update remarks once the task is completed

Inspect the hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards

Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and all other facilities

Organise repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests

Plan and oversee renovations and construction

Health and safety management

Follow and implement all existing S.O.P.'s

Assist Senior Management with any projects, as directed, and implement and give feedback on any actions, as necessary

Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence

Participate in regular departmental meetings and continually communicate a clear and consistent message regarding goals to produce desired results.

Work closely with other departments and ensure guest expectations are reached and exceeded

Be prepared to carry out reasonable duties asked of you by your Senior Manager

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills in English; customer service experience is a plus. Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
