We're looking for a Project Engineer with a plumbing background

What skills are we looking for:



Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair across a range of systems and facilities. Sound understanding of relevant plumbing regulations, water safety, and health & safety legislation. Ability to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and effectively. Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary estates or maintenance team. Good communication and interpersonal skills - able to work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders at all levels. Competent in using digital systems (e.g. Freshdesk, Smartlog, or similar asset management tools). Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities for the role:



Carry out skilled and routine maintenance tasks across college properties, including both planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs to infrastructure, plumbing systems, and fittings/furniture. Support College installation projects, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Assist in sourcing materials and equipment to achieve best value and cost efficiency. Work in partnership with other Estates team members, providing support to disciplines such as Electrical Engineering when required. Quality-assure contractor works when requested and assist in managing the College's water services contract. Identify hazards and defects, carrying out appropriate adjustments or repairs to ensure a safe environment for all College users. Undertake skilled improvement tasks to maintain, upgrade, and enhance the College estate. Engage in relevant training and professional development to maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and health & safety awareness. Perform any other duties consistent with the spirit of this job description and the grading of the post.

The Location:

The site is based at Nuneaton Campus (CV11 6BH)

Travel to other sites is necessary.
