Support Worker - Residential Children's Home (3:1 Specialist Role)
Sequel Support is looking for a compassionate, resilient, and physically active Support Worker to join our specialist residential children's home. You'll be supporting one boy who is currently 6'2" in height and requires support due to learning disabilities (LD), autism, and can present challenging behaviour at times.
You'll work alongside two other staff members per shift, providing consistent support and engaging in activities such as scooting, swimming, long drives, and other interests typical of teenage boys.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent, person-centred care in a 3:1 support setting
Build a trusting relationship with the young person
Manage and respond to complex and challenging behaviours
Promote emotional wellbeing and independence
Work 24-hour shifts including a sleeping night
Requirements:
The successful candidate will hold a
full UK driving license
Proven experience supporting individuals with
LD and autism
Confidence in managing
challenging behaviour
with empathy and resilience
Physically capable of supporting a tall young person with active needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Willingness to work
24-hour shifts
with sleep-in duties
What we offer:
37.50 hours per week contract:
Enhanced salary:
28,119.00 (14.42 per hour
) - basic 25,642.50,* Additional sleep-in shifts available paid at 60 per night (7,176 per annum)*
Total Enhanced pay up to 35,295.00
(basic 32,818.50)
Please note the enhanced pay is only for supporting one of our children and their needs which will be discussed further at interview.
We have a 3-week rolling rota
including sleep-ins. Shifts are typically 7am to 7:30am with a sleeping night and you will work 1 in 3 weekends. A typical rota will look like:
Week 1 = 2 days
(example Wednesday & Friday)*
Week 2 = 2 days
(example Tuesday & Thursday)*
Week 3 = 3 days
(example Monday, Saturday & Sunday)*

Experience:
