Job Summary

Elderly gentleman requires male Christian carer to allow him to live at home.

You must be 18+ to legally provide personal care.
You must be male, as a Genuine Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010).
You need to be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ (Equality Act 2010) to provide fellowship with the person you care for.
You need to live within 20 mins travel distance of Felixstowe IP11 7QR

ROLE

Supervision/care support of morning showering, shaving, dressing etc.
Similar support for evening undressing, washing, etc, & getting to bed.
Taking a morning & evening blood pressure measurement using equipment provided.
Changing day to night catheter bag. (A fairly straightforward job)
Providing Christian companionship through Bible discussion
Taking the gentleman to medical appointments (e.g. blood tests, dentist, etc.) using employer's vehicle as needed.
A few domestic chores: vacuuming, loading dishwasher after evening meal/tidy up.
Maintaining excellent hygiene at ALL times to prevent infection

SKILLS REQUIRED

You need to the ability to continually supervise the person you'd be caring for
You need good verbal communication
You need to have some initiative
You need to be able to learn & carry out instructions carefully
You need to be a patient, gentle, kind and calm individual.
You need good organisation skills & ability to pay attention to detail
You may need to have flexibility with the daily times/hours on some occasions
A Full U.K. driver license would be very helpful

PAY & HOURS

Pay: 17.50/hour.
Hours: Basic 16+ hours/week, 6 days/week Mon-Sat. Additional hours to be discussed.
Times: Mornings, 8:45 - 10:30. Evenings: 20:30 - 21:30
