Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Provide patient care to individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and hospice care. Support clients in maintaining their independence while offering companionship and emotional support. Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols. Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.- Millage will be provided

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred, particularly in senior care or home care settings. Knowledge of first aid procedures is advantageous. Experience with nursing home environments is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and mobility assistance. A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting clients when required.
