Management Accountant | Strong analytically | Worcester (4-5 days) | 355-60k / day rate equiv.
Are you a confident and data-savvy Management Accountant ready to hit the ground running? Were looking for an Interim Management Accountant to join a dynamic manufacturing business for a key role during a busy period of growth and change. Youll be working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where no two days are the same. As part of the finance team, your primary focus will be on management reporting, cost analysis and data driven decision support to help guide business performance.
Key Purpose:
To support the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements at both entity and group level, with a focus on inventory accounting, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. The role also delivers insightful financial analysis to support business decisions and ensures financial systems, processes, and controls are accurate and well maintained.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee inventory accounting, including standard costing, valuation, variances, obsolescence provisioning, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including group consolidation and reconciliation with statutory accounts.
• Provide analysis and reporting to support decision-making, including sales and gross margin reporting.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, ensuring data accuracy, documented processes, and effective controls.
• Manage VAT reporting and support accounting for third-party entities where required.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor and report on lease commitments and support statutory disclosures.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost centre reporting.
• Liaise with auditors and provide required documentation for audit purposes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within finance and provide cover across the team as needed.

Your Profile:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or similar)
• Hands on
• Advanced Excel
• Strong communicator
