As part of the groups finance team, the Management Accountant will be the lead for the financial operations and reporting for the group's childcare nursery and care home operating businesses. Ensuring the accurate and timely financial reporting to management and investors. Helping with the planning and appraisal of future development opportunities. The role would suit someone with experience of day-to-day transaction processing and production of monthly management accounts and who is looking to advance their career with a growing business, the duties would include assisting with the following:

Overseeing and contributing to the day-to-day transaction processing. Import/export of sales invoices and payments between the nurseries/homes management software and the accounts software (Xero). Submission of direct debit files for collection of care home fees. Bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Monitoring and reporting of debtors. Assisting the nurseries/homes with debt collection when needed. Monthly accrual and prepayment calculations and journal entry. Production of monthly management accounts and KPI reporting. Liaising with accounts on the production of statutory accounts and tax filings. Leading the budget setting and forecasting process alongside business' management. Working with the finance team on project appraisals and business planning. Managing and growing the accounts function in line with business growth.

Requirements



Experience of working in a hands-on accounts role. Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Experienced user of accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work on own initiative and manage workload. Works with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Clear and good communicator. Experience in the use of Xero accounting software. Understanding of payroll processing and the PAYE system.
