About McGoff Group Projects
McGoff Group Projects Ltd is a growing group operating across elderly care homes and children's day nurseries, with ambitious plans for expansion. We are now looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support the financial management of the group and help build a strong finance function as we scale.
This is a broad, hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys combining commercial insight with practical delivery, and who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves in a growing business.
Job Duties:
Reporting to Senior Management you will play a key role in:
Leading the budgeting and forecasting process across the group
Producing and contributing to group management information (MI), including monthly reporting, analysis and commentary
Supporting operational managers with financial insight to aid decision-making
Developing and improving financial controls and reporting processes as the group grow
In the initial phase, you will also:
Carry out day-to-day bookkeeping duties using Xero, including postings, reconciliations and basic transactional processing
Supervise one payroll team member, with scope to expand and develop the finance team as the group continues to grow
Requirements
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and management accounts
Reasonably strong Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis)
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment, particularly during periods of growth
Experience with Xero (or similar cloud accounting software)
Able to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance colleagues
Organised, proactive and keen to help shape a growing finance function
