As a dynamic UK-based technology company providing Business and Public Sector customers across the UK with IT, Connectivity (Fixed Line, Mobile, Wireless), Public WIFI, Managed Networks, VOIP Telephony, Security, and much more, we now have an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, diverse and forward-thinking company as a Management Accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager and support with the effective day to day operations of the finance function.
This new role is varied and the successful candidate is expected to be able to drive significant improvement through the finance department. The position will suit someone who is flexible in their attitude and hardworking with aspirations for career development. You will have experience of the workings of a finance department and be looking to take the next step in your career. Key to the role will be not only your ability to show "hands-on" experience, but your will to "get stuck in" and drive the development of the finance division. Also, this role will allow you to be involved in helping to build and grow a successful market-leading organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Bank Reconciliation
Cash allocation
Short Term Cash Flow forecast
Supplier Payments
Responsible for VAT and UK Tax returns and carrying out reconciliations
Liaising with HMRC
Monthly Work in progress calculation and reporting
Prepayments and Accruals
Responsible for all Balance Sheets and ensuring Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed monthly
Providing help with monthly consolidated Management accounts
Key player of the finance team, ensuring business goals are achieved and development of key processes
To drive continuous improvement in the finance function with emphasis on controls and improvement of existing processes
Bring in best in class processes and controls
Identify areas where the business can be more efficient and improve existing Purchase and Sales Ledger procedures
Point of contact for Auditors and completion of statutory accounts
Ensure compliance is up to date for HMRC and Companies House
Help with future M&A
Integrate newly acquired business
Roll out of new ERP system (NetSuite)
Work with relevant stakeholders on ad hoc tasks
Back up for Payroll
Payroll journals
PAYE payments
Skills and Experience:
Qualified accountant or Finalist (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or AAT trained looking to progress qualification
Several years of experience, working in a finance department
Ability to work to tight deadlines and ensure deadlines are adhered to
Self-motivated with an ability to communicate across all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication
A high level of proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
Salary: Dependant on Experience

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
