We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial management skills and be proficient in various computer software, including Sage, Excel, Access and .csv file manipulation.
A working understanding of HR and Health & Safety would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
Preparation & analysis of weekly & monthly statistics
Completion of various tasks common to a busy accounts department
Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Manage accounting processes and assist in the preparation of company management accounts.
Utilise accounting software effectively to streamline financial operations.
Manipulate data from Epos system to Access and produce reports as necessary
Monitor individual stock items values via Access to ensure profitability.
Assist accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices & reports
Assist HR Dept with payroll calculation and various legislative demands.
Communicate with company auditors to ensure tax efficiency and accuracy
Assist company directors to produce, maintain and enhance all financial and administrative information
Work with the Epos department to ensure companywide efficiency if any system amendments are required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
Proficiency in computer software such as Sage & Excel
Ability to transfer data to Access and manipulate it to various reporting standards
Understand & manipulate .csv files and various file types including conversion to pdf
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work produced.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
