The Role

The Management Accountant will join a highly supportive and well-established team, reporting to the Financial Controller. This role is broad and commercial and the responsibilities span preparing financial reports, monthly management accounts and analysing financial data to supporting strategic decision-making processes and driving system improvements down the line. Duties

Prepare monthly management accounts and input journals using Sage. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Preparation and analysis of budgeting/forecasting Prepare VAT returns for HMRC and oversee submission of pensions information Continuous improvement of policies, procedures, systems and controls Lead year end audit and statutory accounts prep, liaising with external auditors re the same. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data collection and reporting. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations and ensure organisational compliance.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role with keen to desire to develop with a forward-thinking organisation. 2 years PQE (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems. Strong understanding of financial management principles, including financial accounting, reporting, and analysis with Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude
